Meet Our Teachers

Rob Wiedell graduated from Bob Jones University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Youth Ministries and a minor in coaching.  Upon graduation, he got his start in Christian education as a teacher's assistant under Pastor Sutherland. Rob was among the staff who founded Fellowship Ministries in 1999. Rob is married to Amy and has three children. Rob is a published playwright, an excellent artist and a registered barber.

Mr. Wiedell currently serves as the high school principal at FCA while continuing his duties as athletic director and coach for soccer and boys' basketball.  Mr. Wiedell currently teaches a variety of subjects to the ULC students.

Amy Wiedell graduated from Bob Jones University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management, and a minor in English.  She serves as the financial manager for FBC. She has been the church pianist since she was 13. Amy helped to found the church and school in 1999. She, with her husband of more than 20 years, Rob, has 3 kids. She is the oldest child of Pastor and Mrs. Sutherland. Amy has been to 29 different states, including Alaska and Hawaii, and she's been to three foreign countries.

Mrs. Wiedell currently teaches Algebra II and piano. She is also the cheerleading coach.

Linda Sutherland received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Bob Jones University in 1972.  She has served as a teacher at nearly every grade level in her thirty years' experience. She has been with Fellowship Ministries since its beginning in 1999. She and Pastor Sutherland have been married over 40 years. He still opens the door for her, and she still laughs at all of his jokes. She is the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren.

Mrs. Sutherland is currently the elementary school principal as well as an MLC teacher and high school English teacher.

Tracey Sink graduated from UNCW in 1994 with a Batchelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology. She started working at FCA in January of 2011. Tracey has been teaching since 1996. She has worked with the Onslow County School system helping to meet the needs of students with educational challenges. Tracey was born and raised in the area and graduated under Pastor Sutherland. She married her high school sweetheart, Keith, and has 4 children including twin girls.

 

She currently teaches in the BLC, as well as in the ULC.

Sheila Sink has worked in early childhood education for years. She and her husband, Barry, have been married for over 40 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, and her church. Sheila likes to cook and collect recipe books, as well.

Mrs. Sink teaches in the Beginning Learning Center along with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sink.

Rebekah Ottaway graduated from FCA in 2004. In 2018, she graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in Interdisciplinary Studies. Rebekah teaches PeeWee Patch Club and a Pre-school Sunday School class at Liberty Baptist in Holly Ridge. Miss Ottaway is also an excellent pianist and a budding amateur photographer.

 

She currently teaches in the MLC to the 5th-6th grades and also High School Science in the ULC.

Amy Dougherty holds a degree in Web Publishing through American Military University. She enlisted into the Marine Corps as a Signals Intelligence Collector for 5 years out of high school. Her husband recently retired from 22 years of active duty service as a Marine and they have 5 children together. Before working at FCA, she has had a career in computers and has home schooled their children for about 9 years. The oldest of their children is an FCA graduate. 

 

Mrs. Dougherty is the Art and Math teacher and also assists in the BLC and MLC classrooms.

Heidi Weymouth graduated from Bob Jones University in 1997 with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. She also received her Cosmetology license. She has been a part of Fellowship Ministries since its beginning in 1999. She is married to Kyle, a Navy veteran, and she has four children.  Heidi is a gifted musician who has perfect pitch. She loves to play all sports, and she's a very good cook.

Mrs. Weymouth currently coaches volleyball and girls' basketball at FCA.  She also teaches elementary music class, and she subs for all grade levels.
